If we think the Acarya makes mistakes-then we are a mistake–SP

Tamāla Kṛṣṇa: What… Śrīla Prabhupāda, what are the qualifications of a perfect leader?

Prabhupāda: No mistake, no illusion, no cheating, no imperfection. Anyone who commits mistake, he’s illusioned, he’s a cheater and imperfect—he cannot lead. So bring any leader of these rascal groups and test with these four principles; he is misleader.

Trivikrama: They’re all servants of their senses.

Madhudviṣa: They will also say that within our movement the so-called leaders also have imperfections.

Prabhupāda: Eh?

Madhudviṣa: They will say, within our movement, that the leaders also have imperfection.

Prabhupāda: No imperfection.

Trivikrama: No imperfection.

Madhudviṣa: They will say, “Yes, we can give you examples.”

Prabhupāda: No. No, no. Why? Why you shall accept? They will say. Because therefore they are saying, we shall accept?

Tamāla Kṛṣṇa: Here’s Prabhupāda. Here’s Prabhupāda

Trivikrama: The so-called leaders, maybe they are imperfect, but the real leader, He is perfect.

Prabhupāda: Yes, this is test of.

Madhudviṣa: They will say, “He is also makes mistakes.”

Tamāla Kṛṣṇa: Where is that mistake?

Prabhupāda: No, there is no mistake.

Tamāla Kṛṣṇa: We have not seen any mistakes.

Gurudāsa: Where is the mistake?

Prabhupāda: There is no mistake.

Gurudāsa: Jaya.

Tamāla Kṛṣṇa: Śrīla Prabhupāda?

Prabhupāda: Hm.

Tamāla Kṛṣṇa: What would you define…

Prabhupāda: If you think your leader is mistaken, then you are mistaken. (laughter)

Mahendra: Like a mirror. You see a mistake but it’s yourself.

Tamāla Kṛṣṇa: Śrīla Prabhupāda?

Prabhupāda: The leader of mistake-therefore immediately gives evidence from śāstra. What is the use of quoting from the śāstra? “Just to prove that I am not mistaken, here is the proof.”

Madhudviṣa: They would say that there is a way of life which is perfect, but all men are imperfect. There is a way of life.

Prabhupāda: Yes, therefore they… Because you are imperfect, therefore you have to accept the leadership of a perfect person.

Madhudviṣa: They will say no one is perfect.

Prabhupāda: No, that is the… That is your ignorance.

Tamāla Kṛṣṇa: You have never seen…

Prabhupāda: Now, just like blind man says, “Nobody is with eyes. Because I am blind, so everyone is blind.” Ātmavat manyate jagat. That is the way.

Devotee: Śrīla Prabhupāda, the whole thing is actually nonsense because Marx himself in his old age became senile and died in a crazy condition.

Prabhupāda: Yes, he must be. He was crazy always. Many, many leaders die like that.

Trivikrama: Every leader.

Madhudviṣa: They will point out that our ācāryas also died. You say that Marx died, so they will say, “Your ācāryas also died.”

Prabhupāda: Dying, that… There is difference of dying. But nobody, he died… They did not die a crazy. That is the superexcellence.(of our acaryas)

Tamāla Kṛṣṇa: So now you’ve defined a perfect leader. What is a perfect system? What are the criterion for a perfect system?

Prabhupāda: Perfect system means from which we do not suffer. That’s all.

Tamāla Kṛṣṇa: No suffering.

Prabhupāda: No suffering.

Tamāla Kṛṣṇa: That is the main criterion.

Prabhupāda: Yes. We are always hankering after happiness. So we do not like suffering. So if there is no suffering, that is perfect system.

Tamāla Kṛṣṇa: Can you point out any time in history when there existed such a perfect system?

Prabhupāda: It is always existing.

Tamāla Kṛṣṇa: Even now?

Prabhupāda: Kṛṣṇa consciousness. Kṛṣṇa consciousness. Otherwise why you are sticking to this? This is the proof. You are all young men, you have given up everything. Why you are sticking to Kṛṣṇa consciousness?

——————————————————————————————————
Conclusions–
This is a very nice conversation in which Srila Prabhupada explains that the real
leaders, the real acaryas, not the fake ones we see everywhere today, these real leaders make no mistakes, are not in illusions, dont have imperfect senses and do not cheat others in any way. Otherwise if they dont possess these qualifications, how can they be real leaders? If somebody is blind, how can he lead others? To lead under these conditions means only cheating others. Srila Prabhupada is not such a cheater. If one thinks the real acarya is mistaken, then he is a mistake, not the acarya ! This platform of super excellence cannot even by conceived by a conditioned soul, nor recognized even when seen. Here is the proof-—

A big difference between material and spiritual activities

16 rounds finished-now I can do anything I want !!!

As Brahmā, the first created being, had to undergo tapasya to get information from the Supreme… The Supreme Lord is within you. He’s there. But He will advise. When you are fixed up by tapasya, determined with vow, then He will talk to you. He’s ready to talk, but you require to acquire the qualification to hear Him. And what is that qualification? This Kṛṣṇa consciousness, devotional service. As it is said in the Bhagavad-gītā, teṣāṁ satata–yuktānāṁ bhajatāṁ prīti–pūrvakam [Bg. 10.10]. Such persons… (aside:) Don’t do it. Teṣāṁsatata–yuktānām. Satata means always, twenty-four hours, not that five minutes I meditate and rest of the time I live like cats and dogs. No. This kind of meditation will not help you. Kṛṣṇa says, satata. Satatameans twenty-four hours. You have to mold your life in such a way that twenty-four hours you’ll think of Kṛṣṇa. This is Kṛṣṇa consciousness. If you think, “Now I have chanted my sixteen rounds. Now I‘ve finished my business. Now I can do whatever nonsense I like,” no. Kṛṣṇa says no. Satata. Therefore we have to plan our life in such a way that we haven’t got any other engagement than service of Kṛṣṇa. This is required. Teṣāṁ satata–yuktānām. Satata means twenty-four hours.Yukta means engaged. What for? What is that engagement? Bhajatām.Bhajatām, bhaja sevayam: to serve Kṛṣṇa. Bhajatām. How? Prīti–pūrvakam. Not that “Oh, Kṛṣṇa has said. All right, let me do.” No. With love and affection. Then you’ll get attachment. Unless you develop love for Kṛṣṇa, you cannot be engaged twenty-four hours. That is not possible. Therefore it is said, prīti–pūrvakam: not officially, but with love. If you acquire this qualification, then you will talk with Kṛṣṇa who is within your heart. Then you’ll talk. He is ready to talk, but He does not talk with rascals and fools. One must acquire the qualification to talk with Kṛṣṇa. Then you’ll be able to talk with Deity. Within your heart Kṛṣṇa is situated there. Anywhere you go, Kṛṣṇa is within you, and He’ll give you intelligence. Talking with Kṛṣṇa means buddhi–yogaṁ dadāmi tam. Teṣāṁ satata–yuktānāṁ bhajatāṁ prīti–pūrvakam:[Bg. 10.10] “Those who are engaged, those who are qualified like this, then I  give him intelligence.”

One story about the greatness of Jiva Goswami–SP

Room conversation March 11, 1972 Vrndavana

So this boy, Jīva Gosvāmī, when he saw that his father and uncles all left home, why he should remain at home? So he also left, and he first of all went to Benares, which is called Vārāṇasī. It is a great center for learning Sanskrit. So he finished his education in Sanskrit grammar, specifically, he was a great scholar in Sanskrit grammar. According to Vedic system, the students are first of all taught the Sanskrit grammar, because it is very difficult subject. Usually one has to study grammar for 12 years, and when one is very much conversant with grammatical rules, he can read any literature. That means after studying grammar, the door is open for any other subject matter, just like philosophy, medicine, then military art, there are so many Vedic knowledges. Generally they read literature, the Purāṇas, the Vedāntas andśaipa(?), śaipa(?) means general literature. So Śrīla Jīva Gosvāmī became a great scholar in grammar and then he studied all Vedic literatures, and after that he approached his uncle Rūpa Gosvāmī in Vṛndāvana. He became a disciple of his uncle by proper initiation and remained with him. He was assisting his uncle and after hearing from him he composed very scholarly books know as Ṣaṭ-Sandarbha. TheseṢaṭ-Sandarbha are recognized as the most scholarly work in the world. There is no comparison of his philosophical approach to the Vaiṣṇava school. Generally, the impersonal Brahman is discussed there, then Kṛṣṇa is discussed there, Bhāgavata is discussed there, love of Kṛṣṇa is discussed there. In this way, all subject matter, very elaborately discussed in Ṣaṭ-Sandarbha. That is his, the greatest gift (of) Śrī JīvaGosvāmī. And one of the Sandarbha thesis is Karma(?) Sandarbha, his comment onŚrīmad-Bhāgavatam. So Jīva Gosvāmī was so big scholar but sometimes one ordinary scholar, he approached Rūpa Gosvāmī that “I want to discuss with you about śāstra“.Rūpa Gosvāmī could understand that this man is not a devotee, he will simply waste my time. He inquired from him, “What is your purpose of discussing with me about śāstras? He said that “I have discussed śāstras with many (aside: you sit down) big scholars and I have come victorious, so if I come victorious by discussing with you, then I will have very good fame and name.” So Rūpa Gosvāmī could understand his view or his ambition, that “this man is a materialistic man, he wants some name and fame,” so he told him, “All right, without discussing, if I give you certificate that I am defeated, will that do?” So, he said, “Yes, that will do.” So he gave him in writing that “I had śāstric discussion with this man, and I found myself very much inferior and defeated.” So he was very glad to take that certificate, but when he was going, JīvaGosvāmī saw, “My dear sir, what is that paper you have taken?” “No your uncle has agreed that he was defeated, so I have got this certificate, I am going.” So he said, “All right, let me see what he has written.” So he gave him, and he kept that paper, and then he invited that “you have defeated my uncle, but you can discuss with me also.” So he agreed. So he was defeated. He was defeated and the matter was informed toRūpa Gosvāmī, that “Your nephew and your disciple, Jīva Gosvāmī has defeated that learned scholar. So Rūpa Gosvāmī became a little angry superficially, that “Why did you bother? He was taking…” So some people say that Jīva Gosvāmī was rejected on this ground by Rūpa Gosvāmī, but that is not a fact. He was very glad that JīvaGosvāmī defeated him, but he superficially said, “Why should you take so much trouble and bother? He might have gone with that certificate.” But it is the duty of the disciple that even the spiritual master, or senior ācārya, they agree to be defeated, it is the duty of the disciple to see that his spiritual master and superior is not defeated. That is the instruction we get from Jīva Gosvāmī’s behavior. This is one of the important, and later on when Jīva Gosvāmī established the Rādhā–Damodara temple in Vṛndāvana, but he had no sons because he was brahmacārī, so some of his gṛhasthadevotee was entrusted with the management of the Rādhā–Damodara temple, and they are still going on by their descendants.

How NOT to question your guru Srila Prabhupada

How NOT to question Srila Prabhupada-

Below is one conversation some “disciples” had once with Srila Prabhupada-and the jist of this was that they just couldnt wrap their limited minds around inconceivable things in spiritual life. They had what is called, the basic fault finding mentality.
The entire attempt to “quantify” the Unlimited is in itself absurd, yet some will do this and for them access to that realm is never available. A better way to approach that unlimited realm of transcendence is to just put things on the mental “back burner”, wait for further purification, and go on chanting and serving guru. But in all cases, never think that the  bona fide guru is wrong and I am right !! This is a sure way to eventually destroy your spiritual life.

Prabhupāda: If a king has four billion servants, so it is not very astonishing. Why do you think that a king shall have only four servants?
Devotee (2): Well, there’s only two billion people on the planet right now.
Prabhupāda: That’s all right.
Devotee (2): So where did they all go?
Prabhupāda: I say you don’t believe, you don’t take it. Why you are insisting on that point? If you don’t believe, you don’t take it. If you don’t believe the whole book or the whole society, then who forbids you?
Devotee (2): We were hoping that there are some things which can be improved, because they have not been set up by you.
Prabhupāda: No. You cannot improve. Whatever we are, we are.
Devotee (2): Why can we not improve it?
Prabhupāda: No. There is no possibility.
Devotee (2): Then what is the use of action?
Prabhupāda: Action, whatever action we can do by chanting Hare Kṛṣṇa, that’s all.
Devotee (2): But we also have to make varṇāśrama society or farms or businesses.
Prabhupāda: That, when we shall do, we shall see to it.
Devotee (2): But we are doing it. We are.
Devotee (1): We are doing it now, and that’s the question…
Prabhupāda:: So do it in your own way.
Devotee (2): We don’t want to. We want to do everything Kṛṣṇa’s way.
Prabhupāda: Stop it. Stop it. I say stop it. You have come to me for my advice. I say you stop it.
Devotee (2): Then, we say, what should we do?
Prabhupāda: You should do your business. That’s all. Earn money and enjoy.
Devotee (2): No, I mean what should we do Kṛṣṇa consciously?
Prabhupāda: You give up Kṛṣṇa consciousness, I say. That is my advice.
Devotee (2): Why should we do that?
Prabhupāda: Then that I cannot say.
Devotee (1): Isn’t there a middle of the road?
Prabhupāda: If you are finding so many faults, you give it up.
Devotee (1): No. We’re not finding fault.

the ultimate bondage is sex life-but constantly getting a higher taste it can be conquered–SP

NY BG April 27 1976
So here it is said, rasa–varjaṁ raso ‘py asya paraṁ dṛṣṭvā nivartate[Bg. 9.59]. One who is forcibly refrained from material enjoyment, oh, that sort of forcibly material enjoyment cannot last. Cannot last. There are many examples. There was a great muni, great sage, whose name was Viśvāmitra Muni, Viśvāmitra. He was formerly a very powerful king. Now, in his later life he gave up everything and he wanted to be a transcendentalist and great meditator, great meditator in the yogaprinciple of life. He was a yogi, great yogi. Now, this Viśvāmitra was performing meditation in the forest very supremely. So the… Now,Indra, the King of heaven, he became frightened: “So, this man is performing so much penance. So he might come. He might ask from God and claim my seat. So just wake him, wake him. Just detach him from this purpose.” So he had many beautiful women at his control, one of whose name was Menakā. So Menakā was ordered that “You go there and try to induce him to have your association.” Because in this world our real bondage is this… Either for man or woman, this is the real bondage, the sex life. So the Menakā was sent to Viśvāmitra, and Viśvāmitra was meditating, but his eyes were closed.

kill the cow and protect the dog-What kind of civilization is this?–SP

1.) In your country the dog is protected, and the cow is killed. The dog is passing stool and urine in the street, he is considered the best friend of man, and the cow is all pure, stool, urine, and milk, but they are taken to the slaughter house and killed for food. What kind of civilization is this?
Rupanuga letter Dec 7 1975

2.)Now, there are so many scientists. They are discovering vitamin value from foodstuff. Now, what is the vitamin value in the dry grass? Can any scientist say that this is the vitamin value in dry grass? If there is no vitamin value in dry grass, how the cow is producing so much milk, who is full of vitamins A and D? How, from dry grass, vitamins coming out? Nowadays the physician prescribes some artificial vitamins for maintaining your body. Now, what is the vitamin there in the dry grass so that the cow is eating dry grass and giving you nice milk full of vitamins A and D, essential for your life? So these are all wrong theories, that “This contains this vitamin. This contains this.” Let them go on. Butnatural foodstuff which is meant for human being, they are full of vitamins already there by nature’s law, by God’s wish. So annād bhavanti bhūtāni [Bg. 3.14].

You will be surprised. When I was family man, I had a servant who was only twenty-two years old. Oh, he was too stout and strong. You see? So one day I asked him that… His name was Buddhu. So I asked him, “Buddhu, what do you take that you are very stout and strong?” He said, “My dear sir, I take only these corns.” Corns. You know corns? A corns and it is powdered. The powdered portions used to make bread, and the grain portion he used to cook as rice, and he was taking that. That’s all.

Green: Cornmeal?

Prabhupāda: Corn.

Devotees: Meal. Cornmeal.

Prabhupāda: Cornmeal, yes. And he was very stout and strong. He was deriving all the vitamins. Because he was poor man, he could not eat any butter or milk or any other things, meat also no, nothing of the sort. He was simply eating… He was drawing, at that time, only twenty-two rupees from me. Twenty-two rupees means… According to your American exchange, it comes to five dollars, five dollars a month, his income. And what he could spend? So he was taking the cheap food. But he was very strong and stout. So whole idea is that these grains, these grains are meant for human being. Coarse grain or fine grain, there are so many varieties of grain, varieties of rice, varieties ofdāl, according… Now, the fine rice, the basmati rice… The laborer class… In India, of course, we have got this distinction. They are not satisfied for, with this white rice. They want coarse grain for satisfaction. While gentleman class, they cannot eat coarse grain. They want finer grain. So all these varieties of grains and vegetables and everything is there by nature’s arrangement, by God’s arrangement.

Here it is said annād bhavanti bhūtāni [Bg. 3.14]. Now, your body depends on the foodstuff supplied by nature. Annād bhavanti bhūtāniparjanyād anna–sambhavaḥ. And these grains are produced by rains, parjanya. Parjanya means regular rainfall from the sky by the arrangement of God. It is not your arrangement. Rainfall is not your arrangement. It is supernatural arrangement. If there is regular rainfall, then it can produce all the necessities of our life.

I think, Carl, you were reading from the Bhagavad-gītā aboutMahārāja Yudhiṣṭhira’s reign, during his kingdom how rainfall was regular, and the necessities of human being were being produced. So here is the same thing. Annāt. Anna, the grains. Grains are our life’s subsistence, human being. Annād bhavanti bhūtāni. And grains are produced by regular rainfall. Parjanyād anna–sambhavaḥ. Parjanyameans rainfall.And yajñād bhavati parjanyaḥ: [Bg. 3.14] “And rainfall is produced when you offer yajña, sacrifice, to the Lord.” Regular rainfall will be possible when people are engaged in the yajña.Otherwise, nature will control rainfall. For want of rain, all your arrangement—mechanical arrangement, tractors, and all these things—will all fail if there is rainfall, there is no rainfall. So control of the rainfall is not in your hand. It is in supernatural power. So here it is said that rainfall is made possible byoffering yajña, by sacrifice.Parjanyāt… Or yajñād bhavati parjanyo yajñaḥ karma–samudbhavaḥ:[Bg. 3.14] “And yajña is prescribed according to the Vedic rituals.”

Now, just see the link. Living entities, they can develop by eating grains. Grains are produced by rainfall. Rainfall is made possible by offering sacrifice. And the process of sacrifice is given in authoritative scriptures like Bhagavad-gītā, Bhāgavata, and Vedic literature, what is the process. So because the beginning is from the Brahman—Brahman means Veda, transcendental sound—therefore, if we work according to the direction of this Bhagavad-gītā or Vedas, then the whole thing becomes, I mean to say, spiritualized. Whole thing becomes spiritualized. Because… Karma–yajña… Yajñaḥ karma–samudbhavaḥ. Karma…

And if your karma is regulated by the direction of Kṛṣṇa, just likeArjuna regulated his karma, his warfare, by the direction of Kṛṣṇa, then by regulation of karma, you perform yajña, sacrifice, and from, for your performance of yajña, sacrifice, there is regulated rainfall, andfrom regulated rainfall there is sufficient production of grains andfoodstuff, and from your sufficient foodstuff, you can grow yourself, body, maintain your body very nicely. The whole program is like that.Annād bhavanti….
below we have some examples of barley grains we grew-
grown, cut, threshed and winnowed-ready to eat
THIS is civilization !!

Prabhupada nicely explains the “mind”

The material mind is like a sheet of impenetrable darkness that completely shuts out the light of the soul. The soul is by his nature self-effulgent and has nothing to do with the material mind which acts as a screen to cut off the light of the soul from the view of the observer who uses the mind for such a purpose.

>>>Ref. VedaBase => From the book “Sree Krishna-Chaitanya”

“Ceto-darpana-marjanam. It wipes the material dust from the mirror of our mind. The mind is like the intermediate connecting medium between the spirit and that material external covering called the body. The soul has no material activity. When covered by maya, or illusion, the soul remains dormant in a state of suspended animation. The magnitude of the soul is so great, however, that it infuses consciousness on all sides. Through the mediurn of the mind, the senses act and we ‘know’ things. If this ‘glass,’ the mind, is put out of focus by the external nature, we suffer confusion, pain, disease, and death. Yes, death is a state of mind only, as the soul has no death. By the mind we mistakenly think ‘O! I’m dying!’ ‘I’m drowning!’ ‘I’m giving birth!’ ‘I’m sick!’ etc. When the mind is cleansed by the mahamantra, the mind is forcibly purified. All the material concoctions, which are the cause of our suffering, are forcibly murdered, starved to death. They thrive on material sense pleasures. Flooding the mind with transcendental sound is just like stepping on the pin of a bomb: All those misconceptions of material suffering and enjoyment are shattered, murdered, and the material mind is conquered wholly, leaving no enemies behind. The mind then reflects the spiritual knowledge, quality and energy of the soul itself.

>>>Ref. VedaBase => The Descent of the Holy Name
Mind and its speculative Nature
The modern scientist or philosophers, they are engaged in studying this inferior nature. They have no information of the superior nature. But Krsna says that these five elements, eight elements. Five gross and three subtle. The mind is also material. Kham mano buddhir. These are material. People think this mental speculation, poetry, philosophy, that is spiritual. No. So long the subject matter is material, the concoction of the mind, speculation of the mind, the so-called philosophy, is also material.

>>>Ref. VedaBase => Srimad-Bhagavatam 1.2.5 — Aligarh, October 9, 1976
Mind and its contamination
In this material world of conditional life, the fragmental portion of the Supreme Lord, the individual soul, is struggling due to his contaminated mind and consciousness. As part and parcel of the Supreme Lord, a living entity is supposed to think of Krsna, but here we see that King Puranjana (the living entity) is thinking of a woman. Such mental absorption with some sense object brings about the living entity’s struggle for existence in this material world. Since King Puranjana is thinking of his wife, his struggle for existence in the material world will not be ended by death. As revealed in the following verses, King Puranjana had to accept the body of a woman in his next life due to his being overly absorbed in thoughts of his wife. Thus mental absorption in social, political, pseudoreligious, national and communal consciousness is cause for bondage. During one’s lifetime one has to change his activities in order to attain release from bondage.
>>>Ref. VedaBase => SB 4.28.20

Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati Thakura said that when a devotee wakes up in the morning he should beat his mind with a shoe a hundred times. Since the mind tends to be very puffed up, it must be beaten to keep it in the proper humble state. In the evening the mind should be beaten with a broomstick another hundred times. The mind is like a wild animal captured from the jungle, it is never fully dependable. If it gets the chance it will run off into the jungle again. Similarly, if the mind is not kept on a tight rope, it will wander off into material engagements and inadvertently one will lose the jewel of Krsna consciousness.>>>Ref. VedaBase => VK: Verse Eight

Book Changes

Please accept my obeisances
All Glories to Srila Prabhupada
Kindly note that the advocates of book changing under the pretext of so-called editing are the same individuals, in collusion with the GBC, who filed in the case against Hamsadutta dasa, in  a  court of law in Los Angeles, California in the late 1990s, that Srila Prabhupada was just a “worker for hire” and “an employee” of ISKCON under the control of the GBC. .[see enclosed attachment]

Deluded by the modes, he thinks he is divinely inspired

Srila Prabhupada: “Therefore, it is a hazardous path of elevation that depends on personal characteristics within the jurisdiction of the three modes of
nature. Without transcending these three material modes, a person will find himself securely in their clutches, and thus deluded, he will think that all his activities are divinely inspired. He will then broadcast this false concept, considering himself an advanced devotee and everyone else inferior. Impressed with his own knowledge, he will try to see God by dint of this knowledge instead acting in such a way that God will want to see him. Intoxicated by false ego, he will see
his activities, which are motivated by passion, as divine
. Those who are proud of their knowledge do not surrender to the Lord; instead,
they try to attain the Supreme Lord’s mercy by the inductive method and thus exhibit an obnoxious mentality. One should constantly remember the Lord and pray to Him for mercy. The Lord, situated in the devotee’s heart, responds to such a prayer and illumines his heart with knowledge, which dissipates the darkness of ignorance.

Srila Prabhupada BTG 1960
“Influenced by an envious temperament and dissatisfied because of an attitude of sense gratification, mundaners criticize a real acarya. In fact, however, a bona fide acarya is non-different from the Personality of Godhead. And therefore to envy such an acarya is to envy the Personality of Godhead Himself. This will produce an effect subversive to transcendental realization.”  Sri Caitanya-caritamrta – 1975 Unrevised Edition . The Spiritual Masters Adi-Lila 1.46
Yours in Srila Prabhupada’s service and in the service of His bona fide disciples.

Vrindavan, 16 November 2014

The President of India, Shri Pranab Mukherjee attended the Anantha Sthapana Puja at the Chandrodaya Mandir being established by ISKCON at Vrindavan today (November 16, 2014).

Speaking on the occasion, the President said India is one of the oldest and culturally rich civilizations in the world. It is, therefore, imperative that we reconnect to our spiritual dimensions. There can be no better way of doing this than spreading the Bhagavad Gita’s message of universal love and humanity.

The President congratulated ISKCON for their efforts in highlighting and propagating the timeless teachings of Lord Krishna across the world. He expressed happiness that the Vrindavan Chandrodaya Mandir will strive to disseminate the philosophical message of the Bhagavad Gita and Srimad Bhagavatam in an easy to understand and rational manner. The President said that message is particularly relevant for us as a society today. While we as a nation move up the developmental ladder, it is essential that our spiritual core, which forms the bedrock of our civilization, remains undiluted and strong as ever.
