In the book called Salagram Sila composed by Padmanabha Goswami of Radha Raman temple in Vrndavana, it says…
“The Brahma Purana states that wherever Salagram sila and dvarka sila sit together, there certainly mukti also resides. In the conversation between Brahma and Narada in the Skanda Purana Brahma says..”O Munisvara Wherever dvarka sila sits in front of the salagrama sila every class of opulence goes on increasing unlimitedly.”
SB 5.24.19...For a pure devotee, the door of liberation is automatically opened. One should not think that Bali Mahārāja was given so much material opulence merely because of his charity. When one becomes a pure devotee in love, he may also be blessed with a good material position by the will of the Supreme Lord. However, one should not mistakenly think that the material opulence of a devotee is the result of his devotional service. The real result of devotional service is the awakening of pure love for the Supreme Personality of Godhead, which continues under all circumstances.
SB 5.24.22-The Supreme Personality of Godhead did not award His mercy to Bali Mahārāja by giving him material happiness and opulence, for these make one forget loving service to the Lord. The result of material opulence is that one can no longer absorb his mind in the Supreme Personality of Godhead.
PURPORT-There are two kinds of opulence. One, which results from one’s karma, is material, whereas the other is spiritual. A surrendered soul who fully depends upon the Supreme Personality of Godhead does not want material opulence for sense gratification. Therefore when a pure devotee is seen to possess exalted material opulence, it is not due to his karma. Rather, it is due to his bhakti. In other words, he is in that position because the Supreme Lord wants him to execute service to Him very easily and opulently. The special mercy of the Lord for the neophyte devotee is that he becomes materially poor. This is the Lord’s mercy because if a neophyte devotee becomes materially opulent, he forgets the service of the Lord. However, if an advanced devotee is favored by the Lord with opulence, it is not material opulence but a spiritual opportunity.Material opulence offered to the demigods causes forgetfulness of the Lord, but opulence was given to Bali Mahārāja for continuing service to the Lord, which was free from any touch of māyā.
madhya 22.45 purport-Śrīla Bhaktivinoda Ṭhākura explains this point. Is this bhāgya (fortune) the result of an accident or something else? In the scriptures, devotional service and pious activity are considered fortunate. Pious activities can be divided into three categories-pious activities that awaken one’s dormant Kṛṣṇa consciousness are called bhakty-unmukhī sukṛti. Pious activities that bestow material opulence are called bhogonmukhī, and pious activities that enable the living entity to merge into the existence of the Supreme are called mokṣonmukhī. These last two awards of pious activity are not actually fortunate. Pious activities are fortunate when they help one become Kṛṣṇa conscious. The good fortune of bhakty-unmukhī is attainable only when one comes in contact with a devotee. By associating with a devotee willingly or unwillingly, one advances in devotional service, and thus one’s dormant Kṛṣṇa consciousness is awakened.
Some Conclusions– The above statements show us HOW to become fortunate. Real fortune is NOT material wealth given to us by Maya called bhogonmukhi. Real fortune is that which comes to us from the Lord Himself thru our dedicated bhakti. If we take this process somewhat seriously and do the simple things required, then …

So, I dont know about other devotees, but as far as my personal experience goes, but we do have both Salagram and Dvarka Silas present in our ashram and we definitely have seen both material and spiritual opulences increase here. There is no mystery to this. We simply have to hear things properly from the bona fide Vedic authorities (like Srila Prabhupada firstly) and then DO what they tell us to do.
There is no secret to this, there is no mystical electrical current flowing out of Srila Prabhuapadas hand to ours. Success spiritually and materially, is totally and 100% based upon constant and faithful hearing from the pure devotee of the Lord..
