Prabhupada wanted us to use our intelligence to figure out (obviously by hearing from him) the best way to live in this world AND by doing that, how our spiritual life becomes much easier. He made a statement once, to paraphrase…” your material life increase when one gives up the desire to go back to Godhead in this lifetime, by simply making arrangements to be comfortable here.”

This year we celebrated the appearance day of Sri Krsna Caitanya Mahaprabhu at the Sila Puri Ashram

of Kanhaiya das . We offered arotik to the Deities, did Abhisek, held a class on the Teachings

of Lord Caitanya and Caitanya Bhagavat, and then everyone honored a massive Krsna Prasadam feast. And of course lots of Krsna Kirtan went on throughout as well.

There were around 100 different items offered today for the Lords pleasure.

Here are some photos of the event.

Many thanks to the entire family of Kanhaiya, Noble, Alisha Riya and Partha for helping to cook

and decorate the temple.For a busy family, this was a lot of work. It was very nicely done and everyone felt very blissful.

Srila Prabhupada once said—-

SSR 5 Practicing Yoga in the Modern Age
Therefore, in the Srimad-Bhagavatam it is said that this is the
incarnation of God in this age. And who worships Him? The process is
very simple. Just keep a picture of Lord Caitanya with His associates.
Lord Caitanya is in the middle, accompanied by His principal
associates–Nityananda, Advaita, Gadadhara, and Srivasa. One simply
has to keep this picture. One can keep it anywhere. It is not that one
has to come to us to see this picture. Anyone can have this picture in
his home, chant this Hare Krsna mantra, and thus worship Lord
Caitanya. That is the simple method. But who will capture this simple
method? Those who have good brains. Without much bother, if one simply
keeps a picture of Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu at home and chants Hare
Krsna, then one will realize God. Anyone can adopt this simple method.
There is no expenditure, there is no tax, nor is there any need to
build a very big church or temple. Anyone, anywhere, can sit down on
the road or beneath a tree and chant the Hare Krsna mantra and worship
God. Therefore it is a great opportunity.

Even the devotee or the servant of Krsna says something,
even it is wrong, Krsna upholds this. Kaunteya pratijanihi na me
bhaktah pranasyati. So even it is wrongly done, still, Krsna fulfills
because He thinks that “My servant has promised; it must be
fulfilled.” Therefore Prahlada Maharaja, in the previous verse he has
said, tava bhrtya-parsva. So to serve the servant of Krsna is better
than to serve directly Krsna, because if the servant of Krsna promises
something, if the servant of Krsna says, “I’ll take you to Krsnaloka,”
