All glories to Srila Prabhupada
Yesterday April 27, 2021 at 10 AM a number of devotees attended the cremation and funeral service for our departed and dear Godbrother Makhancora das prabhu. We will miss him dearly as he was a very kind hearted, soft natured, gentle soul that served his spiritual master Srila Prabhupada for his entire adult life.
He began in Seattle almost right out of high school and I met him when he joined there around 1975. One story he always told me was his rememberance of me telling him Krsna Book stories and how enlivened he got by hearing them. This dedication to hearing from the bona fide guru was always there in “Mak” as we affectionately called him at times. For around 10 years he remained as a brahmacari doing TSKP all those years until later he married a nice devotee woman and they had two children Balarama das and Jahnavi.devi.
We gave him the proper Vaisnava cremation service with offered flowers, tulsi leaves and sticks, and ganga jal as well as sacred waters that bathed our Deities that morning. And of course Krsna kirtan and prasadam later offered to the assembled devotees across the street in a local park.
We miss you so much Mak—
