SB 7.2.43 purport….As fire appears separate from wood and as the air flowing through the nostrils and mouth of the body appear separate from the body, so the Paramātmā, the Supreme Personality of Godhead, appears separate from the living being but is actually separate and not separate simultaneously. This is the philosophy of propounded by Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu. According to the reactions of karma, the living being appears separate from the Supreme Personality of Godhead, but actually he is very intimately related with the Lord. Consequently, even though we now seem neglected by the Lord, He is actually always alert to our activities. Under all circumstances, therefore, we should simply depend on the supremacy of the Supreme Personality of Godhead and thus revive our intimate relationship with Him. We must depend upon the authority and control of the Supreme Personality of Godhead.
SB 9.4.48 purport…
The Lord, however, knows how to protect His devotee. As indicated by the words prāg diṣṭam, the Lord knew everything. Therefore, before anything happened, He had already arranged for His cakra to protect Mahārāja Ambarīṣa. This protection is offered to a devotee even from the very beginning of his devotional service. Kaunteya pratijānīhi na me bhaktaḥ praṇaśyati (Bg. 9.31). If one simply begins devotional service, he is immediately protected by the Supreme Personality of Godhead. This is also confirmed in Bhagavad-gītā (18.66): ahaṁ tvāṁ sarva-pāpebhyo mokṣayiṣyāmi. Protection begins immediately. The Lord is so kind and merciful that He gives the devotee proper guidance and all protection, and thus the devotee very peacefully makes solid progress in Kṛṣṇa consciousness without outward disturbances

And another, there was a havoc, earthquake, in sometime in 1933 or that… And one of our Godbrother, Mr. Munshi Chatterjee, when he heard that quarter is completely demolished, so he was in the office. He was thinking, “What shall I do by going home? There is no more home. Everything is…” Then he said, “Let me go and see.” And when he came there, only his house was left. Only his house. All house dismantled. The Only. Kaunteya pratijānīhi name bhaktaḥ praṇaśyati [Bg. 9.31]. That we have seen in many instances. Kṛṣṇa-bhakta is never vanquished.
Devotee: Yes. We were thinking that he was getting special protection from the Lord.
Prabhupāda: That is a fact. So be sincere, do your duty. You will never be in trouble. Never.
BG 18.78-Wherever there is Kṛṣṇa, the master of all mystics, and wherever there is Arjuna, the supreme archer, there will also certainly be opulence, victory, extraordinary power, and morality. That is my opinion.
BG 9.31–O son of Kuntī, declare it boldly that My devotee will never perish.”

“In Calcutta there was a very virulent type of plague epidemic in 1898. So Calcutta became devastated. All people practically left Calcutta. Daily hundreds and hundreds of people were dying. I was one year old or one and a half years old. So one babaji, he organized sankirtana, Hare Krishna sankirtana all over Calcutta. And in the sankirtana, all people, Hindu, Muslim, Christian, Parsi, everyone joined. And they were going road to road, street to street, entering in every house. So the plague SUBSIDED. This is a fact. Everyone who knows history of Calcutta, know that the plague was subsided by sankirtana movement.”

Some Conclusions–Many devotees are probably now thinking more seriously about leaving the war torn and virus infested cities and moving to the countryside, where life is more peaceful, beautiful, clean air, and a lot less strife. We have been recommending for years just this proposal. One may think how can I buy land “out there”– its so expensive. Actually land in the rural areas nearby small towns or in those towns,is nowhere near as expensive as a city home. And if you cant afford to buy then rent some place and work from there. Sometimes one just has to take a chance, and go for it. When my wife and I moved from Seattle to this location, my income dropped quite a bit-but then it costs less in the rural areas than in cities. And its not like one has to move to some desert and live like a nomad in some tepee or motorhome. I can assure anyone, that our “comfort level” for lack of a better description went up-not down by moving out into the country side. Yesterday I was reading about Lord Krsnas daily activities and it said that when He woke up in Dvarka, He would hear nice sweet sounds from chirping birds and the humming bumblebees. I hear the same thing every morning I wake up with my open bedroom window. No sirens screaming in your ears, no roar of freeway traffic, no pollution in the air, just a very nice peaceful situation in which to think of God-Krsna and go about your daily business of Bhakti.
These purports above tell us by the Lords pure devotee Srila Prabhupada, who knows things as they are, that we are afforded protection immediately even as neophytes by Krsna, if we take to His devotional service. That service can be done in the city or the country. But as nothing stays the same anywhere in the universe, the present situation in the world means that a serious person who can still think for himself, should want to do what the Lords pure devotee asks of us. And what Prabhupada and Krsna wants of us is- to grow our own food and not become 100% dependent upon any city for our living.
Prabhupada once told Hansadutta who told Ishan who told us Sunday at our BG conference call discussion group that-He had two plans-first one was book distribution, to flood the world, the second part was to establish devotee farms everywhere. Now is the time !!!
I was watching some live video footage yesterday , not from the sanitized versions you will see on network TV but from people actually there in the streets of American cities. The looting, the fighting , the line of burnt cop cars, the rage and anger present in those crowds should tell us all is not well in this land. It is like a pot of poison about to boil over and we are now seeing just that in its beginning stages. Combine this anger from millions of people, with the corona virus, the homelessness, the 20% of Americans out of work and just this alone should make one wonder-what is next?
So I hope that those who are reading this will take it to heart and start thinking seriously of moving out of these cities of the world and getting yourself situated nicely in some rural setting.You will love it and never regret leaving .
