Implicated– by bad association

Let us now take a look at what happens when we go to the “other side”, the side not approved by Srila Prabhupada, Lord Caitanya and the entire param para up to Lord Krsna

Aug 5 1973 lecture
Therefore Arjuna is considering, “How can I kill Bhīṣma?” But duty is so strong. Kṛṣṇa is advising, “Yes, he must be killed because he has gone to the other side. He has forgotten his duty. He should have joined you. Therefore he is no more in the position of guru. You must kill him. He has wrongly joined the other party. Therefore there is no harm, killing him. Similarly Droṇācārya. Similarly Droṇācārya. I know they are great personalities, they have got great affection. But only on material consideration they have gone there.” What is that material consideration? Bhīṣma thought that “I am maintained by the money of Duryodhana. Duryodhana is maintaining me. Now he is in danger. If I go to the other side, then I should be ungrateful. He has maintained me so long. And if I, in the time of danger, when there is fighting, if I go to the other side, that will be…” He thought like this. He did not think that “Duryodhana may be maintaining, but he has usurped the property of the Pāṇḍavas.” But it is his greatness. He knew that Arjuna will never be killed because Kṛṣṇa is there. “So from material point of view, I must be grateful to Duryodhana.” The same position was for Droṇācārya. They were maintained.
Therefore Caitanya Mahāprabhu has said that viṣayīra anna khāile malīna hayamana [Cc. Antya 6.278].Such great personalities became darkened because they took money from them, anna. If I am provided by somebody who is too much materialist, then that will affect me. I will become also materialist. I will also become materialist. So Caitanya Mahāprabhu has warned that “Those who are viṣayī, those who are not devotees, do not accept anything from them because it will make your mind unclean.” So therefore a brāhmaṇa and a Vaiṣṇava, they do not accept directly money. They accept bhikṣā. Bhikṣā.

(Note– When we have forgotten our duty to act under the direction of Srila Prabhupada then we are no longer any kind of guru (diksa or siksa) and in fact become a demon (Prabhupada actually uses this word) and he explains the fate above of such persons. We become “darkened” by such association as he bluntly puts it.) Today it has become common for these so called devotees to take very large salaries from Iskcon and what is the result of that? They become materialists he says above.

Below is briefly the story of the offenses and its results- Daksa made against Lord Siva and Sati his wife.

SB 4.4.9 purport-
By offering oblations in the fire while chanting the Vedic mantra svāhā, one offers respect to all the demigods, great sages and Pitās, including Lord Brahmā, Lord Śiva and Lord Viṣṇu. It is customary that Śiva is one of those who are offered respects, but Satī, while personally present in the arena, saw that the brāhmaṇas did not utter the mantra offering oblations to Lord Śiva, namaḥ śivāya svāhā. She was not sorry for herself, for she was ready to come to her father’s house without being invited, but she wanted to see whether or not her husband was being respected. When she marked the insult, she became greatly angry, and she looked at her father so angrily that Dakṣa appeared to burn in her vision.

SB 4.4.21 purport…All the brāhmaṇas who were present for the sacrifice were also condemned by Satī.

SB 4.4.texts 31-34
While people were talking among themselves about the wonderful voluntary death of Satī, the attendants who had come with her readied themselves to kill Dakṣa with their weapons.
They came forward forcibly, but Bhṛgu Muni saw the danger and, offering oblations into the southern side of the sacrificial fire, immediately uttered mantric hymns from the Yajur Veda by which the destroyers of yajñic performances could be killed immediately.
When Bhṛgu Muni offered oblations in the fire, immediately many thousands of demigods named Ṛbhus became manifested. All of them were powerful, having achieved strength from Soma, the moon.
When the Ṛbhu demigods attacked the ghosts and Guhyakas with half-burned fuel from the yajña fire, all these attendants of Satī fled in different directions and disappeared. This was possible simply because of brahma-tejas, brahminical power.

SB 4.5.21-Just as Baladeva knocked out the teeth of Dantavakra, the King of Kaliṅga, during the gambling match at the marriage ceremony of Aniruddha, Vīrabhadra knocked out the teeth of both Dakṣa, who had shown them while cursing Lord Śiva, and Pūṣā, who by smiling sympathetically had also shown his teeth.
PURPORT
…This Dakṣa yajña was similar to such events. Now all of them—Dakṣa and the demigods Bhaga and Pūṣā and Bhṛgu Muni—were punished by the soldiers of Lord Śiva, …..

Note–-Here below are some quotes from Srimad Bhagavatam about what happens if we find ourselves in some assembly or temple or church or mosque and we see sinful acts going on-dont try to stop them or at least say something to that effect, and dont even leave that place. What happens to us?

na sabhāṁ praviśet prājñaḥ sabhya-doṣān anusmaran abruvan vibruvann ajño naraḥ kilbiṣam aśnute
A wise person should not enter an assembly if he knows the participants there are committing acts of impropriety. And if, having entered such an assembly, he fails to speak the truth, speaks falsely or pleads ignorance, he will certainly incur sin.” — Śrīmad Bhāgavatam 10.44.10

nindāṁ bhagavataḥ śṛṇvaṁs tat-parasya janasya vā tato nāpaiti yaḥ so ’pi yāty adhaḥ sukṛtāc cyutaḥ
Anyone who fails to immediately leave the place where he hears criticism of the Supreme Lord or His faithful devotee will certainly fall down, bereft of his pious credit.” — Śrīmad Bhāgavatam 10.74.40

Some Conclusions-It is a known fact that so many Prabhupadanugas were driven out of Srila Prabhupadas temples due to their speaking out against Iskcons policies-on so many different matters beginning with the bogus guru system, the poisoning of Srila Prabhupada, the abuse of gurukula children, deity worship changes, book changes, money making scams, demigod worship, car pujas, inviting mayavadis to speak in the temples, dressing Radha Krsna Deities up to look like Sana Claus, etc etc etc, the list is endless.
Now what happens to those devotees who remain living IN or attending those temples knowing fully well of the mistreatment of other Vaisnavas, and continue to see and go along with various un authorized temple policies?
They ARE implicated in sinful acts as we see from the above SB stories, just by going along with what is going on there, even if they do nothing directly. The above stories from Srimad Bhagavatam are the proof. We are living today, granted in different times, but the laws of Karma still work, and if we go along to get along, then we will suffer karmic reactions just as the brahmanas and demigods did in former times for siding with Daksa,Dhurydhana and others like them. Srila Prabhupada used to give this example of a child touching fire saying that innocence or ignorance is no excuse or free pass from exemption from the laws of Karma.
Some might say, whats wrong with today’s Iskcon? If anyone knows the 10 offenses to chanting Hare Krsna mantra the third one says its an offense to disobey the spiritual master.the next one-to blaspheme the Vedic literatures or ANY OTHER literatures in pursuance of the Vedic version. There have been so so many articles and books written on just these two offenses going on now today within Iskcon. So to think by going there and attending their functions we are not incurring sinful karma is just plain ignorance.
(Īśopaniṣad 12)–A person in ignorance of the principles of religion who therefore does nothing in the matter of religion is far better than a person who misguides others in the name of religion without reference to the factual religious principles of devotional service. Such so-called leaders of religion are sure to be condemned by Brahmā and other great authorities.

Adi lila 12.10-TRANSLATION–The order of the spiritual master is the active principle in spiritual life.Anyone who disobeys the order of the spiritual master immediately becomes useless.
PURPORT–Here is the opinion of Śrīla Krsnadas kaviraja Gosvāmī. Persons who strictly follow the orders of the spiritual master are useful in executing the will of the Supreme, whereas persons who deviate from the strict order of the spiritual master are useless.
SB 2.9.8 P Answers –by Citing the Lord’ s Version–
One has to receive the TRANSCENDENTAL sound from the RIGHT SOURCE, accept it as a reality and prosecute the direction without hesitation. The secret of success is to receive the sound from the right source of a BONA FIDE spiritual master. MUNDANE MANUFACTURED SOUND HAS NO POTENCY, AND AS SUCH, SEEMINGLY TRANSCENDENTAL SOUND RECEIVED FROM AN UNAUTHORIZED PERSON ALSO HAS NO POTENCY. One should be qualified enough to discern such transcendental potency, and either by discriminating or by fortunate chance if one is able to receive the transcendental sound from the bona fide spiritual master, his path of liberation is guaranteed. The disciple, however, must be ready to execute the order of the bona fide spiritual master as Lord Brahma executed the instruction of his spiritual master, the Lord Himself. Following the order of the bona fide spiritual master is the only duty of the disciple, and this completely faithful execution of the order of the bona fide spiritual master is the secret of success.
Guest (3) (Indian man): …without taking diksa from the guru also utters the name of Lord Krsna with devotion and…
Prabhupada: There is no devotion unless you go to a guru. Forget it
. Adau gurvasrayam. First thing is, first business, is to accept a bona fide guru. Otherwise there is no devotion. It is simply false imitation. This is the injunction of Rupa Gosvami in Bhakti-rasamrta sindhu. Adau gurvasrayam: “Your first business is to approach bona fide guru and take his asraya.”Otherwise there is no devotion. That has been the defect in the modern society. They imagine. This business should be given up. He must follow. Sadhu-marganugamanam, which is prescribed by the sadhu, guru, you have to accept that. You cannot manufacture your own way.

Devotee (4): The difficulty is that we cannot understand, we cannot feel what pleases Kṛṣṇa now, yet we can feel what pleases us, and that is the difficulty?
Prabhupāda: You have no feeling, that everyone knows. Therefore you have to carry out the order of spiritual master, that’s all.
Devotee (1) : If we try to please Kṛṣṇa with all of our service and activities, that automatically brings pleasure to the self?
Prabhupāda: You cannot please Kṛṣṇa directly. You please your spiritual master, Kṛṣṇa will be pleased. If you want to please directly Kṛṣṇa, that is not possible. That is concoction You cannot please. Yasya prasādād bhagavat-prasādaḥ **. You have to please your spiritual master, then Kṛṣṇa will be pleased. Don’t jump. Honolulu july 4 1974-
Prabhupāda: Authority is your spiritual master. You do not know who is authority? Why this question is there? If one is initiated, then he accepted the authority. And if he does not follow the instruction of spiritual master, he is a rascal. He is defying the authority. That’s all.
… Then so śikṣā and dīkṣā-guru… A śikṣā-guru who instructs against the instruction of spiritual, he is not a śikṣā guru. He is a demon. Śikṣā-guru, dīkṣā-guru means… Sometimes a dīkṣā-guru is not present always. Therefore one can take learning, instruction, from an advanced devotee. That is called the śikṣā-guru. Śikṣā-guru does not mean he is speaking something against the teachings of the dīkṣā-guru. He is not a śikṣā-guru. He is a rascal. Because that is offense. Guror avajñā. First offense is guror avajñā, defying the authority of guru. This is the first offense. So one who is offensive, how he can make advance in chanting? He cannot make. Then everything is finished in the beginning.
Madhya 15.10-purport–
The Hari-bhakti-vilāsa (2.6) quotes the following injunction from the Viṣṇu-yāmala:
adīkṣitasya vāmoru kṛtaṁ sarvaṁ nirarthakam paśu-yonim avāpnoti dīkṣā-virahito janaḥ …”Unless one is initiated by a bona fide spiritual master, all his devotional activities are useless. A person who is not properly initiated can descend again into the animal species.”
