OR DO I LIKE TO DO THIS???

The soul’s natural and intrinsic propensity is to serve-its called cid vilasa-which means to give spiritual pleasure.
So in all aspects of living we serve/worship either spirit, or matter. We cannot at any moment be without service to either Maya (illusion ) or God.
SB 7.7.48 P Therefore Prahlada maharaja advised his friends to depend completely on Krsna and worship
Him in devotional service.
SB 7.5.23-24 Prahlada Maharaja said: Hearing and chanting about the transcendental holy name, form, qualities, paraphernalia and pastimes of Lord Visnu, remembering them, serving the lotus feet of the Lord, offering the Lord respectful worship with sixteen types of paraphernalia, offering prayers to the Lord, becoming His servant, considering the Lord one’s best friend, and surrendering everything unto Him (in other words, serving Him with the body, mind and words)–these nine processes are accepted as pure devotional service.
Therefore we see in the above photo examples, the propensity of the soul is to decorate/serve/worship something. That “something” will be either illusion or non illusion. But that impetus to worship by serving remains at all times.
Therefore if we have not heard sufficiently from the Supreme Lord’s bona fide representatives, about where to repose this service propensity, then under illusion, we will utilize this energy for Maya, or as some say —
“the devil made me do it” !! Hence, we now have million of people in this world, serving or worshiping the dog, as his “god”.
Disgusting isnt it? Not to millions of people…
This is called Maya-being under the influences of the illusory energy of the Supreme Lord. And these people are so much under this illusory energy of the Lord that they even have no embarrassment or shame for this activity.

Devotee : Prabhupada, last night you were describing how people serve their dogs. And now, in the Western countries, they have restaurants where you can take your dog, and he sits at the table with
you and they serve a meal for him. And they have catering services. You can call up, and they will bring a special meal to your dog, so he can eat at his home. They have beauty parlors for dogs, everything.
Prabhupada: Yes, they have taken dogs as God.
According to Vedic civilization, dog is untouchable.
730723BG.LON If you don’t become servant of Krsna, then you serve, you become servant of
your wife, your children, your relative, your country, your nation, your dog. At last, if you have no family, then you become servant of your dog. You know in your country it is very usual. If he has nobody, then he keeps a dog, and takes it on the street. His dog passes stool and he is standing, waiting: “Yes, sir. You pass your stool, I am waiting.” Just see. It is practical. If you don’t become servant of
Krsna, then you have to become servant of the dog. This is nature’s way. Therefore intelligent person will take lesson from it, that “I have to become servant. Why not become Krsna’s servant? Then I will be
happy. There are so many Krsna’s servants. They are so happy. Why shall I remain the servant of the maya?”
On the other hand, if one submits him or herself to the Lords proper representatives, then one will not come under this illusory influence and make a fool out of him or herself. No only will he or she not be embarrassed but they will make themselves very beautiful by the process of serving the Supreme Being, Lord Krsna. Here is the explanation below…

If you decorate your face, you do not see directly how your face has
become beautiful, but when you see the reflection of your face in the
mirror, then indirectly you can see the beauty. Therefore, by serving
Krishna directly the result of the service indirectly comes to us.
Just like we offer very nice prasadam directly to Krishna, but
indirectly we enjoy the nice taste of the prasadam. So we should
always remember this, that Krishna is always full in Himself; He does
not want a pinch of our help for his satisfaction, but if we try to
satisfy Him in so many ways as directed by acaryas and scriptures,
indirectly we become benefited by such activities. …
