Hare Krsna to all

Pranams

All glories to Srila Prabhupada

Below we have two separate quotes about who is  liberated.

The first one says if we are even slightly  interested in Krsna katha, that means

we are liberated. The second one gives a lot more  information.

But the interesting thing is that if one just reads the  first one and nothing more

then he will think I  am liberated and dont have  to do anything more because I am “slightly interested”

in Krsna-therefore I am liberated. This is how one can  read the books and screw

out any meaning he wants-this is called sahajiya  mentality or prakrta bhakta.

Having a little knowledge is dangerous. We must become  fully aware of the

spiritual science of God Consciousness, Krsna  Consciousness.

For example, one time I asked an iskcon “guru” if  he was liberated.

He immediately replied- Yes.

I looked at him ,surprised by this answer, then  asked him to tell him what are the qualifications of one who is liberated. He was silent for a long time. I asked  him the same question again-and I wasn’t being aggressive then either, just  two devotees sitting down for  prasadam , side by side on the floor.

Finally I spoke up and listed  off the top of my  head, about 10 qualifications listed in Prabhupadas books as to the actual  requirements for one so liberated. Then asked him if he fit this  description?

Then this person said to me–“You know Damaghosa,  you are the  most envious person I have ever met” And that is an exact  quote. There were two other friends of mine also privy to this  conversation sitting along side of us. They later told me they were struck by  his nasty reply back to me. He took the offensive and aggressive position  against me-and all because I asked him that one question. Are you  liberated?

This is why we must daily read Prabhupadas books so that  we can understand things as they are and defeat these demons in the guise of  spiritualists.

1.) SB 10.1.4 T   The Advent of Lord Krsna:  Introduction   79025/549557

We have described several times that there are  two

kinds of krsna-katha, represented by Bhagavad-gita,  spoken

personally by Krsna about Himself, and Srimad-Bhagavatam,  spoken

by Sukadeva Gosvami about the glories of Krsna.  Anyone who becomes

even slightly interested in krsna-katha is  liberated. Kirtanad eva

krsnasya mukta-sangah param vrajet (Bhag. 12.3.51).  Simply by

chanting or repeating krsna-katha, one is liberated from  the

contamination of Kali-yuga. Caitanya Mahaprabhu therefore  advised,

yare dekha, tare kaha ‘krsna’-upadesa (Cc. Madhya  7.128). This is

the mission of Krsna consciousness: to hear about Krsna  and thus

be liberated from material bondage.

2.)  SOCRATES.HAY       Discussions with Hayagriva  dasa       257119/530501  As mukti,  liberation, means that to be free from this all nonsense  engagements. Nitya-baddha, they are engaged, all these karmis,  jnanis, yogis, they are simply engaged in some false engagements to become  happy. So when one is free from these  false engagements, then he is in the liberated  state. Mukti means muktir hitva anyatha rupam. Anyatha rupam  means he is acting otherwise. So one has to come to the real position, not  work, act otherwise. So he is eternal servant of Krsna. When he  fully engage himself in the service of Krsna, then  he is liberated, and if he keeps himself,  then nobody can touch, the maya cannot touch.  Daivi hy esa gunamayi mama maya. Maya is very strong, but if one keeps in touch with Krsna constantly, maya has  no jurisdiction. Mayam etam taranti te. This is perfection  of life.
