Sometimes I wonder when the devotees will actually pick up on one of  the most

important instructions that Prabhupada gave to us.

The pictures below are of a 3 book set done by a devotee in Australia who  read all the

conversations books (37 in that set) and pulled out  these three books worth of

relevant quotes from Srila Prabhupada where he is constantly explaining the  next phase

of the Hare Krsna Movement. That next and very important part is that he  wanted

us to live simply, grow our own food, and spend the  balance of our freed up time in

chanting Hare Krsna Maha Mantra. In this way we would become quickly  purified.

But who is doing it? Not many I am afraid. I just sent out an email with  Ramesvara

explaining in his video that Prabhupada was telling him in the future,  there will be

millions of people coming to our farms due to their  joblessness which was due to

the failure of government run economies worldwide.

Ok some might say, how can we trust Ramesvara, the guy who was going to  testify

against Srila Prabhupada in the L.A. Calif- BBT vs Hansadutta court  case regarding printing

original books as opposed to the Jayadvaita changed versions.?? Good  question. Here is the answer.

Even if he is lying or exaggerating about millions of people coming to  our farms in the future, that does not change these three books worth of  statements by Srila Prabhupada in the folio vedabase,

where Prabhupada  himself is saying he wants his disciples and  followers to start this

model of simple living high thinking by starting to grow owns own  food.

And if Ramesvara is telling the truth, then these 3 books take on  even more importance

because they go exactly along with what Ramesvara said. So either way, the  message is clear.

Adopt a simplistic lifestyle (no more ugra karma work, no more industrial  enterprises, machines etc)

but somehow or other, simplify our life, so that we can spend the majority  of the short lifespan we have

been allotted to chanting Hare Krsna Maha Mantra, become purified and go  back to Home

back to Godhead.

And to  organize this, varnasrama will help you to divide the society–brahmana,  ksatriya,

vaisya–as there is division in the body. That will help. Don’t  waste human form of body for sense gratification. I wanted to  introduce this. Now I have given you ideas. You can do it. You are  all intelligent. For Caitanya Mahaprabhu’s para-upakara… So you do  good to others. Not exploit others. Any human being who has been  bestowed by this body has the capacity to chant Hare Krsna. Give them  chance and make situation favorable. Is that  clear? Hamsaduta: Yes, it’s clear, Prabhupada. You have made  everything very clear.

Below Srila Prabhupada nicely explains the downside of  automation/machines.

1. Men lose their jobs and then the govt has to pay them unemployment  compensation

and where do you think the govt gets this money?? That’s right-from you and  I in TAXES !!

So the material energy punishes us all for not taking Krsna’s  plan of simple living

and high thinking.

2.Human life is not meant for solving these perpetual material problems.  Rather it is

meant for solving the real problem-repeated birth and death.

3. These problems can at once be stopped by approaching the lotus feet of a  pure

devotee of the Lord-one who has NO material aspirations at all.

is within you–that you are engaged in hearing about Him, He helps you.  How He helps you? He cleanses your heart. Therefore a person, although  he is born of low family, because he is thinking of Krsna, or God, always,  oh, he is being purified. Prahlada Maharaja gives us evidence that manye  tad-arpita-manah. Because he has placed his life, he has placed his  endeavor, everything for Krsna, by mind, by his body, by activities,  therefore pranam punati sa kulam: he is purifying not only himself but his  whole family. This is a prerogative. If a boy becomes a devotee, the whole  family becomes purified. Sva-kulam. The whole family becomes  purified. What best service he can give otherwise than by  becoming the devotee of Lord? That is the best service to his father, mother,  forefathers, grandfather, everyone. That we will find in this  Prahlada Maharaja said, sva-kulam. And na tu bhurimanah.    But  a person who is simply proud of his material qualification, bhurimanah…  Bhurimanah means puffed up, Mr., Dr. Frog, puffed up: “Oh, I am such and  such. I am such and such.” So he cannot purify himself, what to speak of  his family. No. Krsna consciousness is so nice that if one becomes Krsna  conscious, he purifies himself. Never mind wherever he is born. It doesn’t  matter. He is more than a brahmana, viprad dvi-sad-guna, with all the  qualifications. ….

In  our bhakti-yoga we can teach this art of seeing Krsna within the core  of the heart in one minute. It is so simple. 

You are seeing Krsna here. You must have impression and try to keep  that impression within your heart always. Then you become first-class  yogi. Why so much gymnastic and pressing the nose? No. Take directly.  If you are engaged twenty-four hours in the service of the Deity, you  cannot see except the Deity. This bhakti-yoga practice is so simple. Therefore kanistha adhikari, those who are neophyte, they must take to Deity  worship. By Deity worship he is elevated to the position of seeing the  Lord within the heart. This is very important thing. You can see–He  is there–but you have no knowledge, or even if you have knowledge, you  are not competent to see Him. But if you practice Deity  worship…    Therefore it is the  duty of guru to engage the neophyte devotee always in Deity  worship.

Prabhupada: Feasting means puri and halava and a vegetable and  a chutney. That’s all. Four things. Make simple.

Tamala Krsna: And Prabhupada? Do you want us to offer feast to your Guru  Maharaja at noontime? A special plate of feast?

Prabhupada: Not a special plate. The process is that whatever we  offer to the Deity, that is offered to guru. And guru offers to his guru.  In this way goes to Krsna. We don’t directly offer Radha-Krsna.  No. We have no right. Neither He accepts in that way.  The pictures of the acaryas, why there are? Actually, one has to offer  the plate to his guru, and he’ll offer his guru, he offers his guru, his  guru. In this way it will go to Krsna. That is the process.  You cannot directly approach Krsna or other subordinates to Krsna.  That is not possible.

And when He eats it, sometimes  He eats and leaves little  left….

I just came across this  below article today-7 reasons why there  are tremendous benefits to reading

BOOKS-that’s right actual books as opposed to  something on a ipad or a computer.

Here is what some scientists have listed as the benefits.

1.lowers stress levels

2.better sleep at night

3.strengthens mind reading ability- to read “thoughts” and “feelings” of  others

4.keeps brain from getting alzheimers disease

5.one becomes more empathetic

6.keeps brain sharp

7.self help books ward off depression

SB 1.7.7      Simply by giving aural  reception to this Vedic literature, the feeling for loving devotional service  to Lord Krsna, the Supreme Personality of Godhead, sprouts up at once to  extinguish the fire of lamentation, illusion and  fearfulness.

SB 1.5.11   On the other hand, that literature which is  full of descriptions of the transcendental glories of the name, fame, forms,  pastimes, etc., of the unlimited Supreme Lord is a different creation, full  of transcendental words directed toward bringing about a revolution  in the impious lives of this world’s misdirected civilization.  Such transcendental literatures, even though imperfectly composed,  are heard, sung and accepted by purified men who are thoroughly  honest.

Please read this brilliant letter  written to Rayarama early on in  1968. Prabhupada

explains  how positive a Krsna Conscious person should be. We don’t  dwell on the

negative persons nor their negative (sinful) activities. We simply  concentrate on the

positive devotional activity of serving Lord Krsna.

Please do not print any picture showing how a cow is being murdered in  our BTG. This will pollute the whole atmosphere. We are not meant for  moving anyone’s sentiment against animal slaughter, we are neither  Buddhists or Jains, whose main propaganda is against animal slaughter. Even  the so-called vegetarians who do not take Krishna prasadam are as  much sinful as the non-vegetarians. Our propaganda is different, to  make people Krishna Conscious, which automatically makes them  sympathetic against any kind of animal slaughter. According to  Srimad-Bhagavatam, one living entity subsists on the life of other living  entities, either vegetarian or non-vegetarian. But we are neither of them.  We are not vegetarian nor non-vegetarian. We are transcendental. We  are concerned with Krishna Prasadam. Try to popularize Krishna Prasadam  as you have already done. People will naturally become vegetarian  without any ghastly propaganda. The pictures of a mahajana or  similar pictures for propagating the Bhagavata conclusion should be our  objective. Other pictures, there are so many subject matters, just like we  follow 4 principles, say for example, illicit sex life, we can publish  so many pictures of illicit sex life, but that will not advance  our cause. why we should not give any trouble to the Lord in our  hearts…

in other words, stop our plan making business for this material  world.

There is a Bengali proverb that how God works, that  one man, a householder is praying to God, “My dear Lord, there may not  be any theft case, burglary, in my home this night. Please save me.”  So one man is praying prayer, praying like that. Another man is  praying, the thief, “My dear Lord, this night I shall commit burglary in  that house. Please help me to get something.” Now, what is  Krsna’s position? (laughter) Krsna is everyone’s heart. So Krsna  has to satisfy so many prayers. The burglar and the thief and  the householder, so many prayers. So Krsna’s adjustment… But  He’s still… That is Krsna’s intelligence, how He adjusts. He  gives everyone freedom. And everyone is given facilities, but still He’s  in botheration. Therefore Krsna advises to his devotees that “Don’t  plan anything. You rascal, you nonsense, you don’t give Me  trouble. (laughter) Please surrender unto Me. Just go under My  plan; you’ll be happy. You are making plan, you are unhappy;  I am also unhappy. I am also unhappy. (laughter) So many plans are  coming daily, and I’ll have to fulfill.” But He’s merciful. If a… Ye yatha  mam prapadyante tams…    So except the devotee of Krsna,  everyone is simply giving Krsna trouble, trouble, trouble, trouble.  Therefore, they are called

duskrtina. Duskrtina, most miscreant, the miscreants. Don’t make  any plan. Accept Krsna’s plan. That will be simply giving trouble  to Krsna. Therefore, a devotee does not pray even for his  maintenance. That is pure devotee. He doesn’t give trouble to Krsna even  for his bare maintenance. If he has no maintenance, he’ll suffer,  fasting; still, he’ll not ask Krsna, “Krsna, I am very hungry. Give me  some food.” Of course, Krsna is alert for His devotee, but a  devotee’s principle is not to place any plan to Krsna. Let Krsna do.  Simply we have to do according to the plan of  Krsna.
