taste of sweet fruit, and whatever else we want. As stated in
▼Srimad-Bhagavatam (1.10.4), sarva-kama-dugha mahi: the earth (mahi)
contains all our requirements. Thus the objects of sense perception
are all present in bhumi, or the earth. The gross material elements
and subtle material elements (mind, intelligence and ahankara, false
ego) constitute the total material energy.

Sage Markandeya’s Predictions for Kali Yuga

The following translation of Mahabharata (Book 3, Vana Parva, Markandeya Samasya) is taken from the century old unabridged version by Kisari Mohan Ganguli. We have updated the English. –Ed.

King Yudhisthira said, “O foremost of all speakers, O Muni of Bhrigu’s race, that which we have heard from you about the destruction and re-birth of all things at the end of the yuga is wondrous indeed! I am filled with curiosity, however, in respect to what may happen in the Age of Kali. When morality and virtue will come to an end, what will remain? What will be the prowess of men in that age? What will they eat, and what will be their amusements? What will be the period of life at the end of the yuga? What also is the limit, having attained which the Krita Age will begin anew? Tell me all in detail, O Muni, for all that you are narrating is varied and delightful.”

Thus addressed, that foremost of munis Markandeya began his discourse again, delighting that tiger of the Vrishni race and the other sons of Pandu as well, saying, “Listen, O monarch, to all that has been seen and heard by me, and to all, O king of kings, that has been known to me by intuition from the grace of the Supreme Personality of Godhead. O bull of the Bharata race, listen to me as I narrate the future history of the world during the sinful age.

”I went back and re-edited especially the translations in the first canto. Especially the first perhaps three chapters where I thought their were a lot of short comings. And I typed up all the translations – after I finished all the work, I typed up all the translations in one manuscript and put them in an envelope, and Prabhupada was coming to New York where I was at the time. Prabhupada came, and I put all the translations in an envelope, and I wrote a cover letter explaning what I have done, and asking him whether it was okay. And then I brought it up to Prabhupada’s quarters at 55th Street in New York–the New York temple—with the idea that I would leave them with his secretary and come back later. But Prabhupada was right there, and so he…I offered obeisances, and he had me, you know: ”What do you do in here?” ”What have you come for?” Not in those words, but, you know, he inquired was I was doing. Recently, the ambitious corporate climber, Tamohara dasa/GBC Chairman, posted on ISKCON cheerleading website a deceptive letter addressing the devotees and the temples, where they should purchase their books. He is attempting to self-righteously clamp down on distribution of the ORIGINAL Srila Prabhupada`s Bhagavad-gita on the pretext that it is not authorized by Srila Prabhuapada`s created BBT.

The purpose of ‘his’ letter is based on their (GBC) need for continuation of intentional ‘dumbing down’ of naïve devotees that is unfortunately based on complete lie and deception that most of rank and file devotees are not aware of. GBC/BBTI wants to completely control and systematically undermine Srila Prabhupada created ISKCON, BBT and his real teachings which are based on pure devotional principles.

Their lie and deception is twofold;

1) Firstly, after Srila Prabhupada`s departure they fraudulently and secretly incorporated their own private BBT called BBT INTERNATIONAL, that illegally replaced Srila Prabhupada`s BBT in their attempt to usurp total control and to put a stop to distribution of original Srila Prabhupada`s books. Replacing them with their own revised editions that was mentally contrived by Jayadvaita swami aka Jay Israel.

Within this fraudulent BBT INTERNATIONAL (as per FORM TX – For a Literary Work – United States Copyright Office Registration form) Srila Prabhupada is not even mentioned. In point 2 of the form the ‘NAME OF THE AUTHOR is given as – The Bhaktivedanta Book Trust. There is no mention of Śrīla Prabhupāda as the author of the Bhagavad Gītā As It Is. Why? “

May 28th, 1977 “appointment tape” fraud
Verified by National Audio Video Forensic Laboratory

The Governing Body Commission [GBC] of the International Society for Krishna Consciousness [ISKCON] has, since December 1977, falsely claimed that eleven leaders had been “appointed as gurus” on May 28th, 1977, and that this was supposedly confirmed on an audio tape [commonly referred to as the “appointment tape”].

However, the “National Audio Video Forensic Laboratory” in Los Angeles says: “In conclusion, the recording exhibits strong signs suggestive of falsification.”

The GBC’s audio tape “evidence”: the so-called May 28th “guru appointment tape” is an “edited” mish-mash, “strongly suggestive of falsification,” and is “consistent with EDITING procedures wherein WORDS are ELIMINATED or REARRANGED to CHANGE the context of what is said.” read: criminal fraud.

Note: Norman Perle was given a copy of the original from the archives, he does forensic audio work for the FBI and police, so we trust his work over others. There is splicing an the tape for the simple reason, the conversation is too choppy. There are missing tapes, that is also for sure. In any case, the tape does not appoint anyone, no names are given. Also consider “on my order”you become guru, yet no order is given to anyone, what to speak of 11? Srila Prabhupada said, that all of his disciples will take the legacy. That quote defeats anyone claiming to have been appointed.

This forensic lab of Norman Perle does work for big law firms and he agrees: This tape has been edited and it would never be accepted as evidence in a court of law. The GBC may have the original, we are told, but why was an edited tape forwarded and not the original–in the first place? Why are there many missing tapes from this period of time also? Why was the poison tape hidden, and a bogus appointment tape forwarded? Why are there tapes talking about putting in sewer pipes on a land project, they are preserved, but what the GBC alleges is the instruction how to run ISKCON for the next ten thousand years, is an unacceptable “edited” tape? Who edited this tape? Why are tapes missing? We shall be discussing this more, but just wanted you to know, the authority for leaders to become gurus in ISKCON is based on a falsified piece of evidence. In sum, it’s a lie. Why do they say that liars–are gurus?

“Even in the poetic compositions of such great poets as Bhavabhuti, Jayadeva and Kalidasa there are many examples of faults. Such mistakes should be considered negligible. One should see only how such poets have displayed their poetic power.” (Caitanya Caritamrta, Adi-Lila, 101-102)

Prabhupada’s purport to text 102:

In Srimad-Bhagavatam (1.5.11) it is said:

tad-vag-visargo janatagha-viplavo
yasmin prati-slokam abaddhavaty api
namany anantasya yaso ‘nkitani yat
srnvanti gayanti grnanti sadhavah

“In explaining the glories of the Lord, inexperienced men may compose poetry with many faults, but because it contains glorification of the Lord, great personalities read it, hear it and chant it.” Despite its minute literary discrepancies, one must study poetry on the merit of its subject matter. According to Vaisnava philosophy, any literature that glorifies the Lord, whether properly written or not, is first class. There need be no other considerations. Continue reading →
