Hare Krsna-just read the below is this morning’s class

Below is a nice explanation of the first order of business for devotees-to give up unwanted association. Both Krsna and Caitanya say the same thing only in opposite ways as pointed out below by Srila Prabhupada. In the NY temple back in 1971 it appears from this lecture there was one bogi yogi living therewith his girlfriend who presented himself as some sanskrit scholar and had fooled the local devotees into thinking this was true.

So conditions have not changed since then. We now have rascals or demons as Srila Prabhupada calls these so called sanskrit scholars, who change the sastra and words of the Acaryas, who are not only living in Srila Prabhupadas temples but also changing his books !!! And worse still, being followed by practically the entire iskcon movement-except for those who can detect these demons. I think we all know who these people are that I am speaking of here.

SOME AMAZING ASPECTS OF SPIRITUAL LIFE-THE BEST IS YET TO COME !!!

Submitted by: Damagosha Dasa

**newrule

Hare Krsna-
Below we have some very interesting things for you-Srila Prabhupada kindly explains some of the inconceivable aspects of actual spirit life.
For example-he tells us of trees in Vaikuntha that can move from one place to another,
or about Srila Gadadhara Pandit who was considered the incarnation of Radharani and her luster was the incarnation of Gadadhara das,or
when we spiritualize our eating process, any part of our body will be able to eat,or
how we will be able to change spiritual forms like from a flower to a human form. Etc.
damaghosa das

ADI 9.32 purport
It is our experience in the material world that trees stand in one place, but in the spiritual world a tree can go from one place to another. Therefore everything in the spiritual world is called alaukika, uncommon or transcendental. Another feature of such a tree is that it can act universally. In the material world the roots of a tree go deep within the earth to gather food, but in the spiritual world the twigs, branches and leaves of the upper portion of the tree can act like the roots.

ADI 10.53 purport
Śrīla Gadādhara dāsa was known as an inhabitant of this village (eṅḍiyādaha-vāsī gadādhara dāsa). The Bhakti-ratnākara (Seventh Wave), informs us that after the disappearance of Lord Caitanya Mahāprabhu, Gadādhara dāsa came from Navadvīpa to Katwa. Thereafter he came to Eṅḍiyādaha and resided there. He is stated to be the luster of the body of Śrīmatī Rādhārāṇī, just as Śrīla Gadādhara Paṇḍita Gosvāmī is an incarnation of Śrīmatī Rādhārāṇī Herself. Caitanya Mahāprabhu is sometimes explained to be rādhā-bhāva-dyuti-suvalita, or characterized by the emotions and bodily luster of Śrīmatī Rādhārāṇī. Gadādhara dāsa is this dyuti, or luster.

Srila Prabhupada regarding the unique position of Srimad Bhagavad-Gita

Submitted by: Yasoda nandana Dasa

This Gitopanisad, Bhagavad-gita, the essence of all the Upanishads, is just like a cow,
and Lord Krishna, who is famous as a cowherd boy, is milking this cow.
Arjuna is just like a calf, and learned scholars and pure devotees
are to drink the nectarean milk of
Bhagavad-gita.

Srila Prabhupada regarding the potency of the Bhagavad As It Is

Submitted by Yasoda Nandana Dasa

“One may cleanse himself daily by taking a bath in water,
but if one takes a bath even once in the sacred Ganges water of Bhagavad-gita,
for him the dirt of material life is altogether vanquished.
One who drinks the water of the Ganges attains salvation,
so what to speak of one who drinks the nectar of Bhagavad-gita?
Bhagavad-gita is the essential nectar of the Mahabharata,
and it is spoken by Lord Krishna Himself, the original Vishnu.”

Srila Prabhupada regarding the importance of Krishna Book

Submitted by: Yasoda nandana Dasa & Damagosha Dasa

**newrule

I am pleased to know that all of you are enthusiastically engaged in distributing our books.
In this modern Godless civilization, everyone is greatly suffering due to lack of the real knowledge of
Krishna consciousness, and our task is very great and very important.
We must deliver this pure science of God to everyone and give them the chance to make their lives successful.
So you continue this book distribution program very nicely,
and at the same time take advantage of these books yourselves.
Not that you just distribute but neglect reading them yourself.
Always read them, especially Krishna book. Every time you have a spare moment, you should read.
This will help you to advance in Krishna consciousness, and will give you the ability to convince others also.
Srila Prabhupada letter  May 5, 1975

Please accept my blessings. I beg to acknowledge receipt of your letter dated 18th February, 1971 and have noted the contents. You write to say that this Hare Krishna Movement is perfect in all respects. Thank you very much. And it is a fact that “Sankirtana will keep you happy and the books will keep you convinced‘‘, so make your program in that way and become fixed up in Krishna Consciousness.

Document of Inheritance for HDG Disciples
(Please click the link above to read the document.)
Dear Disciples of Srila Prabhupada, and those desirous of being His disciple,

I have witnessed the many speculations on how to revive the institution, ISKCON as a necessity for the continuation of Srila Prabhupada’s mission to spread the Maha Mantra to every town and village.

Some devotees have tried and to some degree been successful in exposing the deviations that have derailed the progress. But the deviates are still firmly entrenched.
I have remained silent solely to ensure that I have reviewed everyone’s expression of their perspective or speculation before I point out the solution that is to me self-evident. It is surprising that so many devotees cannot see the obvious.
I am to a degree remaining anonymous to avoid the attacks from the insane and criminal and deviates that will be understandably offended by my statements because this declaration totally dis-empowers all of these deviates.

However I am confident that any devotee/disciple that considers these statements thoroughly before reacting will see and feel within their hearts the truth of the matter. We have gone too far off the track for the methods of the past to be effective in reviving the institution and it is attachment and disinformation that keeps so many devotees convinced that ISKCON is the mission. It is stated in the book Blazing Sadhus that when Srila Prabhupada started the ISKCON Society in 1966 he said: “ISKCON is a great tool we can use to spread our Hare Krishna chanting. If it is not helpful, we can dissolve it.” This firmly established that the institution is not the mission. It is merely a tool of the mission. The mission is not dependent upon it.

Sri Locana dasa mahima [Glories of Srila Locana dasa Thakura]

Srila Prabhupada glorifies the exalted position of Locana dasa Thakura

Books : Srimad-Bhagavatam : Canto 1:”Creation” : SB Introduction : SB Introduction :
Many devotees of Lord Caitanya like Śrīla Vṛndāvana dāsa Ṭhākura, Śrī Locana dāsa Ṭhākura, Śrīla Kṛṣṇadāsa Kavirāja Gosvāmī, Śrī Kavikarṇapūra, Śrī Prabodhānanda Sarasvatī, Śrī Rūpa Gosvāmī, Śrī Sanātana Gosvāmī, Śrī Raghunātha Bhaṭṭa Gosvāmī, Śrī Jīva Gosvāmī, Śrī Gopāla Bhaṭṭa Gosvāmī, Śrī Raghunātha dāsa Gosvāmī and in this latter age within two hundred years, Śrī Viśvanātha Cakravartī, Śrī Baladeva Vidyābhūṣana, Śrī Śyāmānanda Gosvāmī, Śrī Narottama dāsa Ṭhākura, Śrī Bhaktivinoda Ṭhākura and at last Śrī Bhaktisiddhānta Sarasvatī Ṭhākura (our spiritual master) and many other great and renowned scholars and devotees of the Lord have prepared voluminous books and literatures on the life and precepts of the Lord. Such literatures are all based on the śāstras like the Vedas, Purāṇas, Upaniṣads, Rāmāyaṇa, Mahābhārata and other histories and authentic literatures approved by the recognized ācāryas. They are unique in composition and unrivaled in presentation, and they are full of transcendental knowledge. Unfortunately the people of the world are still ignorant of them, but when these literatures, which are mostly in Sanskrit and Bengali, come to light the world and when they are presented before thinking people, then India’s glory and the message of love will overflood this morbid world, which is vainly searching after peace and prosperity by various illusory methods not approved by the ācāryas in the chain of disciplic succession
Books : Sri Caitanya-caritamrta – 1975 Edition : Cc. Adi-lila : Adi 8: The Author Receives the Orders of Krsna and Guru : Adi 8.33 : PURPORT :
Śrī Vṛndāvana dāsa Ṭhākura’s Caitanya-bhāgavata was originally entitled Caitanya-maṅgala, but when Śrīla Locana dāsa Ṭhākura later wrote another book named Caitanya-maṅgala, Śrīla Vṛndāvana dāsa Ṭhākura changed the name of his own book, which is now therefore known as Caitanya-bhāgavata. The life of Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu is very elaborately described in the Caitanya-bhāgavata, and Kṛṣṇadāsa Kavirāja Gosvāmī has already informed us that in his Śrī Caitanya-caritāmṛta he has described whatever Vṛndāvana dāsa Ṭhākura has not mentioned. This acceptance of Śrī Caitanya-bhāgavata by Kṛṣṇadāsa Kavirāja Gosvāmī indicates his acceptance of the disciplic succession. A writer of transcendental literature never tries to surpass the previous ācāryas.

The Value of Discrimination

Submitted by: Narasimha Dasa

**newrule

Lord Krishna said, “This man is an assassin and murderer of your own family members. Not only that, but he has also dissatisfied his master. He is but the burnt remnants of his family. Kill him immediately.” (S.B. 1.7.39)
In spite of this unequivocal instruction from Lord Krishna who was personally present, both Arjuna and Draupadi wanted to spare evil Ashvattama for the sake of being kind and gentle to all Brahmins and brahmana-bandhus. Neither Srila Prabhupada nor Lord Sri Krishna faults them for their sentiment because such rare sentiments illuminate the matchless quality of great Vaishnavas. Such kind and forgiving qualities can’t imitated by ordinary devotees. It would be beyond the imagination of lesser devotees to forgive a false Brahmin who had mercilessly and enviously attacked and killed ones sons—just for spite–while they were sleeping.
It would also be impossible, and beyond our duty or power, to forgive 1.) those who secretly fed poison to Srila Prabhupada or 2.) those who went along with persons who tried to hide this incident due to political motives. Devotees who are not great paramahamsa uttama-adhikaris should hear carefully Srila Prabhupada’s final conclusions on these matters.
“The specific words used in this sloka are vama-swabhava, ‘mild and gentle by nature.’ A good man or woman accepts everything very easily, but a man of average intelligence does not do so. But, anyway, we should not give up our reason and discriminatory power just to be gentle. One must have good discriminatory power to judge a thing by its merit. We should not follow the mild nature of a woman and thereby accept that which is not genuine.” (S.B. 1.7.42, Purport)

Avoiding Sahajiyas

Submitted by: Narasimha Dasa

**newrule

To avoid sahajiya association, we must first understand who sahajiyas are.
Some sahajiyas are easy to spot. They artificially manifest symptoms of ecstasy to make a show and win followers. They associate freely with women and often take intoxicants to “enhance” their kirtanas and bhajanas, and they are not well educated regarding Gaudiya Vaishnava siddhanta. Srila Prabhupada jokingly suggested that if such persons come to our temples to show their theatrics, we could test them by kicking them in the face. If they remain tolerant, they may be accepted only then as great devotees. In other words, Srila Prabhupada must have felt that there was practically no chance of such persons being actual great devotees, otherwise he would not have chided in this way and opened the door for us the mistakenly commit Vaishnava aparadha.
But there are others who follow strict sadhana, perform exemplary austerities and are externally free from attraction for women and intoxicants. They are very sober, more or less puca Brahmins; they know the shastras and they chant regularly on beads according to vows, usually far more than 16 rounds daily. Lalita Prasad and his descendants are examples of what Srila Prabhupada called “first-class” sahajiyas.
Why are these sadhus considered sahajiyas to be avoided? It is because they don’t accept all the conclusions of the paramahamsa acharyas, such as Srila Bhaktivinoda Thakura and Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati Thakura.  They believe they are so advanced that they fail to fully recognize or accept the guidance of maha-bhagavatas. They are apparently proud to have a difference of opinion with great acharyas, as if this would prove they are on the same level or higher than recognized maha-bhagavatas.
