Krsna is living everywhere–that is, that is the vision of the higher devotees.
Actually He’s living, but still, because we are in the lower
condition, we should know that here is Krsna in the temple. Krsna is
everywhere, but for us, because we have no such vision to see Krsna
anywhere and everywhere, therefore we should come here in the temple
and see Krsna, “Here is Krsna. Krsna has kindly appeared here in a
manner in which I can see Him. That is Krsna’s mercy.” That is temple.
We cannot see… Krsna has completely spiritual body, but we have no
eyes to see what is that spiritual body. Sac-cid-ananda-vigraha. We
are accustomed to see this material, jada, gross things. We can see
stone, we can see metal, we can see wood. We can see all these
material elements. But Krsna is everything. Therefore to be visible to
our imperfect eyes, Krsna has appeared in the stone form, but Krsna is
not stone. It is not that we are worshiping stone; we are worshiping
Krsna. But because we cannot see except stone, therefore Krsna has
kindly appeared in the form carved from the stone. This is the
conclusion.
Jai Srila Prabhupada!
Jai Srila Prabhupada!
My dear Lord Krishna, great personalities and devotees in full Krishna consciousness always think of Your lotus feet and remain fully satisfied by drinking the nectar of transcendental bliss. The nectar which they constantly drink sometimes comes out of their mouths and is sprinkled on others as the narration of Your transcendental activities. This nectar coming from the mouth of a devotee is so powerful that if one is fortunate enough to take the opportunity to drink it, he is immediately freed from the continuous journey of birth and death. Krishna bk, Draupadi meets the queens of Krishna.
Got tulips?
Hare Krsna to all
Pranams
All glories to Srila Prabhupada
Today, after the swell of around million touristas have left our town, we went to see the tulip fields close by to us. As one can see, so many varieties are grown here and this is only the tip of the iceberg in terms of what is available. Just before the tulips the daffodils appeared , yet another spectacular display of Krsnas amazing energy.
In the Bhagavad Gita it states–“Sarva kama dugha mahi” from the earth all our necessities are given to us.
When one looks at just the vivid colors present in these flowers, one could ask why dont we see those colors in the mud or earth? Yet that is where they all came from. How did all that color come from just mud?
We dont see those colors there, yet here they are in the flowers. Continue reading

A Heart Touching Pastime Of Srila Prabhupada :
Sripada Hrdayananda Babaji Maharaja was born in Radha Kunda and has been a pujari for 78 years. He lives next to the Radha Damodara Temple. At the beginning of the interview, upon being asked if he knew Srila Prabhupada, Babaji Maharaja began to cry, “Never have I seen anyone do sadhana like he did. I have lived all my life in Vraja and I have never seen anyone like him. Prabhupada did many arduous things, he worked very hard there at the Radha Damodara Temple. At that time it was austere, undeveloped, and very muddy and dirty with no facilities.
“Many years later, when I heard that it was actually he who had been chosen by Caitanya Mahaprabhu to spread the Hare Krsna Maha-Mantra around the world, I was not surprised. Continue reading
No initiation means questionable next birth
No way to calculate the value of accepting initiation from a bona fide spiritual master
Dear Ravendra Gupta,
Please accept my blessings. I have only recently received your
letter of February 6, 1974, due to travelling.
I am very glad to hear you are following my instructions by
chanting 16 rounds daily. In order to chant offenselessly, so that the
chanting will have the greatest effect, one must avoid the four sinful
activities. You have asked “How serious would it be for me if I should
miss the golden opportunity to become your initiated disciple?” You
should know that the value of accepting a bonafide spiritual master is
more than we can calculate. It is not a mere formality. Of course
everyone is encouraged to chant Hare Krishna, but until one gives up
sinful activities and becomes determined to serve Krishna through His
representative then the firm fixing up of devotional service will not
take hold, and there is every chance that one will fall prey to all
sorts of material desires and have to come back again in the next
life–and one cannot guarantee that he will be born in the form of

aksara-dvayam. If anyone simply chants these two alphabets, ha,

Yasya smrtya ca namoktva tapa-yajna-kriyadisu, nunam tam purnakam yati
sadyah vande acyutam ity adi-vacanam.(?) There is another quotation,
that yasya smrtya ca moktva tapo-yajna-kriyadisu. These are pious
activities: austerity and sacrifice, tapas, yajna, and kriya, pious
activities. Everything is done simply by chanting this Hare Krsna
mantra. There is no need of doing anything. Simply by chanting, one
can achieve the result of japa, yajna, and other ritualistic
performances prescribed in the Vedas. And this is specially advised to
the karma-kandiyas, those who are very much fond of performing
ritualistic ceremony. For them this instruction is specially meant,
that if you chant simply Hare Krsna mantra without any offense, then
you’ll get all the results of japa, yajna, and other ritualistic
performances.

Krsna, His name, His fame, His attributes, His activities…
Sri-krsna-namadi na bhaved… Namadi means “beginning from the holy
name.” So not possible… So if we keep ourself on the material
platform, then for thousand years we may chant, it will be difficult.
That is called namaparadha. Of course, holy name is so powerful that
even by chanting with offense, gradually he becomes pure. Therefore we
should not give up chanting. Any circumstances, we should go on
chanting Hare Krsna. But the warning is that if we keep us on the
material platform, then it will be not possible to understand Krsna,
His holy name, His attribute, His form, His activities. It will not be
possible. Continue reading
How Cow Killing Started in India
Story Why Cow Killing Started in India
Those were the times when India was at the peak of Mughal Rule. The rulers of a large part of India were Muslims and guess what; they had banned Cow Slaughter in that Mughal Empire. Nobody dared to kill cows and eat beef during the Muslim Empire.
The Mughal Empire and Cow
Babur, who invaded India all the way from Kabul and established the Mughal Empire in India, despite being an orthodox Muslim had banned Cow Slaughter in his empire. All successive MughalEmperors had banned Cow Slaughter in their kingdoms. Hyder Ali and Tippu Sultan who ruled the Mysore State in the present day Karnataka had made cow slaughter and beef eating a punishable offence and the crime would be punished by cutting off the hands of the person who committed the crime!
Today in India we have over 36000 slaughterhouses! How did this massive turn around take place? Continue reading
“opulence” vs simplicity–which one?
SB 8.19.21 P The aim of the varnasrama divisions—-is to train
one to control the senses and be content with the bare necessities.
Here Lord Vamanadeva, says that without
contentment one could not be happy even if he possessed the property
of the entire world or the entire universe…. In modern civilization there is no
such education; everyone tries to possess more and more, and everyone
is dissatisfied and unhappy. The Krsna consciousness movement is
therefore establishing various farms, especially in America, to show
how to be happy and content with minimum necessities of life and to
save time for self-realization, which one can very easily achieve by
chanting the maha-mantra–Hare Krsna.. Continue reading
“this has caused me much pain”—SP
Hare Krsna to all
“Swami Kirtanananda has returned to the United States and is
causing quite a stir among the devotees. Following his suggestions, we
have stopped wearing robes and have cut off our flags. He said these
appurtanences are too strange-looking to outsiders and only make it
more difficult for them to consider chanting Hare Krishna. Swami
Kirtanananda has said we must avoid appearing to be Orientalists if we
are to have 108 centers in the US.” Continue reading
